Dacaria Adams was new to the Leesville community as a freshman, having recently moved here from Tennessee. In four short years, she gained the respect and admiration of her peers and teachers. Realizing the importance of easing the transition for new students, she committed to being a Leesville Liasion, meeting the needs of new students whether they needed a simple tour or a lunch buddy. As a part of the National Spanish Honor Society, she tutored her fellow students in high school and taught preschool students Spanish as a part of her work at Little Pros Academy every day after school. She has enjoyed internship opportunities that have allowed her to work with autistic students at Leesville Elementary. Dacaria’s generation is the first in her family to attend college. She will attend East Carolina University to pursue a career in medicine.
